Grand Cherokee SRT-8 Teaches X6M, Gemballa and 911 Turbo Who's Boss, Loses to Mustang GT500

In the never-ending battle for supremacy on the drag strip, a previous generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 went out to prove its worth against a mix of stock as well as modified SUVs and sports cars.

The Grand Cherokee SRT-8 itself featured a supercharged version of the regular model's Hemi V8 pushing down 700-horsepower.

Its rivals were a BMW X6M tuned by Hamann with 670-ponies, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo-based Gemballa GT600 with 600-horses lurking under its hood, a stock Ford Mustang GT500 rated at 612-horsepower and a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo with 580-horses.

To see how the fights went down, hop past the break to watch the video.

Ford Mustang Drifts Over Cement Median and into Peugeot 107

Did the driver of this modded, fifth gen Ford Mustang attempt to drift on purpose or did he simply enter the turn a bit too fast and lost control of the car? Who knows.

The end result is that he (or she, we can't be sure) slid right over the cement median and crashed into a Peugeot 107 on the other side of the road. Bet the Peugeot driver didn't see this coming.

And if you haven't figured it out already from the dashcam-mounted camera, this accident took place in mother Russia.

The video awaits your curiosity right past the break.

Ford's 650HP 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 Priced from $54,200, Convertible from $59,200*

America's most...muscular pony car has made its appearance on Ford's official website with prices starting from $54,200 for the 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 coupe and $59,200 for its open-top sibling, not including a $795 (*) destination fee that bumps the total to $54,995 and $59,995 respectively.

In both cases, that's a $5,390 increase over the previous 2012 models. Intriguingly, the Mustang Shelby GT500 coupe's price is identical to that of Chevrolet's 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1 Coupe ($54,995 with destination and handling).

It Came from Germany: Felge's 2005 Ford Mustang Konquistador

Who names a customized Ford Mustang "Konquistador"? Why, a German tuner, of course, silly! Now, what the Spanish and Portuguese conquistadors (Konquistador in German) have to do with a tuned Mustang is another story entirely…

Using a fifth generation Ford Mustang from 2005 as its canvas, or so to speak, Felge came up with this cosmetics package that bundles bits and pieces from various shops such as the €8,000 (US$10,500) Cervini-Bodykit loosely inspired from the Eleanor that played in the 2000 blockbuster film, Gone in 60 Seconds.

Pony Express: New Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 vs. Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca

Comparing the 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 with the latest Nissan GT-R is all fine and dandy and makes for a catchy headline but in the real world, few will disagree that there's only one rival and that's none other than the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca.

Motor Trend magazine took Detroit's new breed of wild pony cars and put them to the test around the Inde Motorsports Ranch in Willcox, Arizona to find out who's the real boss.

So which one is the better retro-nostalgic sports car; the Camaro ZL1 with its 580-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 or the Mustang Boss 302 with the Laguna Seca package and its naturally aspirated 444HP 5.0-liter V8?

Head past the break to find out which one wins this comparo in the video that follows.
